A scaffolder is still in shock after winning close to $142,000 on a chance multi bet from last weekend’s eight NRL games.
Todd, a father of two from Sydney’s west, said his confidence began to soar when his spur of the moment $16.63 multi was still alive after six legs last Saturday night.
‘I was carrying on, screaming in the loungeroom with my wife,’ the tradie told Daily Mail Australia.
When the Gold Coast Titans (pictured) thumped North Queensland, a Sydney punter landed almost $142,000 from a $16 multi bet
‘I decided to upload the video to TikTok for a bit of a laugh, I couldn’t believe what was happening.
Last time I checked (on Tuesday) it had almost a million views.
‘To win this kind of money from such a small bet ($16.66), I still can’t believe it to be honest with you.’
The die hard South Sydney Rabbitohs fan then explained how his eight-leg multi worked with Sportsbet.
‘So they gave me a bonus bet of $50, which I then split three ways for separate bets of $16.66,’ he said.
‘I placed one on a greyhound race which lost, the winning multi and then another bet.
‘I had a good look at all the (NRL) team lists in the lead up to the games, but when you also add in margins, anything can happen.
‘The Warriors win over the Sharks (18-16) was a close one, and then the Tigers almost gave me a heart attack.
‘They were up by 10 and could have scored a late try, which would have sunk me if they won by 13 points or more…
lucky (Tigers five-eighth) Adam Doueihi kicked a penalty goal instead.
‘Thankfully it went my way, I can now look at a house deposit with a big backyard for my two boys, that’s all I want really.’
After successfully picking all eight games and also selecting the correct margin range, Todd’s odds blew out to $8,519.96.
For the record, he correctly chose Newcastle (1-12), Canberra (1-12), South Sydney (13 plus), New Zealand (1-12), Penrith (1-12), Melbourne (1-12), Wests Tigers (1-12) and Gold Coast (13 plus).
Todd celebrated by having a having a ‘few drinks’ on Sunday, and when he checked his phone on Monday afternoon, the cash was already in his account.
‘I look at the balance in disbelief, and then rang the bank straight away to organise a long term Deposit Pocketoption for a house,’ he said.
‘I’ve had a few people from primary school reach out to ask how I am going after they heard about my win…
but its all good, with a young family I am going to be sensible with the cash… it may have been a different story back in the day.’
Melbourne’s 28-18 win over arch rivals Manly left Cameron Munster (pictured) happy as well as the savvy punter from Sydney, who won $142,000 from an eight leg multi

The scaffolder, who runs his own business, was back on his work site on Tuesday.
The man who goes by toddbrahh on Instagram plans to continue his weekly $100 betting splurge, and has been told by fellow punters not to give up.
‘If you can afford it, keep having a dig,’ he said.
‘It’s a bit of fun for me, adds to the excitement of the game.’
Sportsbet were delighted at Todd’s savvy bet, which he won’t forget in a hurry.
‘We couldn’t be happier for Todd and (wife) Brittney.
To win $141k is truly life changing,’ a spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia.
‘Todd was elated when we spoke to him and he mentioned to us that he’s going to put the money towards buying a home for his family which is tremendous.’
